From the Blenheim Street Rod Nationals it was back to Christchurch for the Pre ‘49’s Hot Rod Show, which was being hosted by Rodbenders – Christchurch’s only exclusive Pre 1949 cars only club.  Now the Street Rod  Nationals were great, with around  200 impressive cars, but the Pre 49’s  was a lot more personal affair with only around 50 cars and all being of the same era, looked in some ways more impressive – all the cars had similar body shape, but were all still different.
